Tools for Building Your Web Business – Basics – Part IV – A Blog Site
Posted by admin on August 15th, 2011 with 0 CommentsUse something like WordPress (or its many equivalents such as Movable Type or Blog Engine):
i. At first glance, using Word Press seems like it’s the perfect solution. Actually, I’m a big supporter of it. This blog uses WordPress. But it still takes work.
ii. Here’s a picture of the part of WordPress where you create a new post (or page):

Note that you can do it visually or with HTML. Holy moly Batman, that dirty word “code” (it does have four letters) keeps coming up.
iii. The good thing about software like WordPress is that it allows you focus more on content and it can be set up to assist in search engine optimization (SEO – more on this later). It does this through a database (MySQL – SQL means structured query language) and the use of PHP (code!).
iv. As far as posts or pages go, using WordPress, once it’s set up, allows you to focus most of your time on content – the King of Internet marketing.
To be continued…….
